i felt so excited to see the sandakan word at the terminal.
and spend the whole holiday at home.
cant even get some suitable time to find dr kelvin lo, which only come back to malaysia during june.
dunno when can see him again...
and back to KL on 16 june.
on 20 june, suddenly we have a plan to go somewhere,
and our last minute plan is to go to malacca.
hence on the morning of 21st, we went to pudu and hop on to a bus going to malacca.
all a last minute plan.
somewhere near with melaka sentral, i've seen a very, very long pedestrian bridge.
from this side of the highway, pass over above the bus im on,
and connect to the other side of the highway.
we took the bus to mahkota parade, where we started our day of walk.
i have this as my lunch, chicken rice ball.
and this 肉饺.
malacca is a place which is rich with culture and history...
remember the first thing you learn about malaysia history is about the malacca empire?
in my prespective, malacca has been working out alot on tourism as there are alot of tourist spot and almost all the streets are pedestrian-friendly.
we can see these high-tech trishaw everywhere at malacca, decorated extensively and equiped with sound system.
next we walk to the revloving tower (menara taming sari) as mentioned in tzun's blog.
however, im not so lucky like tzun to take a ride on it, as we have limited time.
coz we bought the 7.30pm tic to KL...
the guys...
and the girls.
and then we found this trishaw parking outside of the admin office of the revolving tower...
next up we went to the big ship (maritime museum) for RM3
act like a captain of the ship
the captain's room
and then went to the significant place, the stadthuys (or we simply call it the red houses)
like hing said: the trip is incomplete without visiting the red building...
next we take the stairways up to the st paul's church...
acting like knowing what im reading... the tombstones...
and then took another way down to the A'famosa.
actually we didnt plan to go to jonker since we have limited time.
but since it's still around 5pm, we hop to jonker street...
this place is...historical? but very modern one...
there are many antiques selling in the antique shops, and also a lot of antique houses.
this kind of inn i only saw in those '60s or '70s HK drama! or those movies like lust caution!
this is absolutely a good house...
then we have some food in this shop...
it is pratically a museum serving foods.
there are those antiques everywhere in the shop, even fossil!
this is my first time to see fossil.
my bowl of baba cendol.
the gula melaka is way too sweet ><
i still prefer the ABC in sandakan town!
and this asam laksa...or rendang... i also forgot what i've eaten.
and, luckily we still manage to catch the bus back to KL...the time is ngam ngam only...
and the most importantly, the whole journey only used less than RM50 including tickets! 6/7/2008 an update, finally.during the last 2 weeks is my study break for my exam..
now exam's end, and so i will be back to sandakan soon!
during the 28th of May, went to KLCC with my friends.
and had lunch at madam kwan's.
some rm14 nasi lemak.
some rm15 mushroom chicken rice
and then we went to the melbourne university open day at convention center.
and to the popular bookfest.
really many people there!
people mountain people sea.
and i bought some books.
hope i can find some time to finish up the books.
and on 6th june, after our last paper of chemistry, we went to 1u to have our lunch.
and we choose to have it at seoul garden.
see the raw foods, which means you have to cook it by yourself...
...in this cooker on your table.
these are the food i liked...
teriyaki chicken
curry chicken
black pepper beef and non-seasoned beef
black pepper fish and chili squid
black pepper fish
korean signature kimchi
...and more ingredients!
cooking...
i made myself this...blackcurrant sparkling juice.
...with this machine.
by frying rice on the bbq pan.
so creative!
because we were too busy cooking and eating, we have no time to take the food for serve.
so this is what it looks after we've done.
and last but not least, i've got myself a pair of air force 1!
this is the nike air force 1 xxv 2007 japan premium.
i've only decided to purchase it after considered for so long time...
because it costs me RM249 (original price RM429)
a signature japanese guy with samurai playing basketball chain.
and it even comes with this certificate of authenticity.
ya i know its quite old because its mid of 2008 edy.
but i just love it so much, its like love at the first sight.
what's more is BoA's latest singles, Vivid has been released!
as a super fans of BoA since i was a kid (because of her sexy-ness) of course i will support her!
but due to the pokai-ness, i only can download it!
heh, but somehow when i look for BoA's album in the CD store, i found that the singles album from japan is much more expensive than a taiwan album!
then, forget it... haha, internet is so advance that i can download the whole CD image, and burn into a CD,
same high quality like original one!
hehe...thats all for this time...
going back to sandakan soon!
so happy... 6/4/2008 Colour of the Week - Red!In the midst of exam!
tomolo will be econs, and friday is the chemistry which is the last paper of the exam!
can go back sandakan few days later, further motivates me to be opimistic!
as you see in the picture,
i purposely went to 1utama just now to take a close look with the barclays premier league trophy!
as a big fans of MU, i sure have to go support since airasia kindly send me an email informing me of this event.
haha, since i can take photo with it, i think 102% it is a replica.
yet, it makes me happy! wuahahaha...
see, im wearing the red-est top i can found in my wardrobe to show my passion and support >.<
just hope that my exam results wont come out redish... wish!
kay... back to econs... 5/28/2008 ruined by chemistryi am totally ruined by chemistry! FYI, i'm gonna sit for my mid-term exam as early as next monday, 5 days continuously until 6th june. and i find myself in deep shit coz i hvnt done revise any of the subjects. today i stay at library from 11am to 6pm, just to study chemistry. and its miracle that time passes so fast when you want to do something! i only managed to read, okay, is skimmed through 1 chapter - structure & bonding within 1 whole day! this is gonna be a mess... i always hate chemistry. the evidence is that over the years i was ruined by chemistry, and there are numerous of blog post about how much i hate chemistry. here's one, and here's another. and i even mentioned that i burnt the chemistry books after i done my SPM! i always wonder why do architects need to study chemistry, do architects need to count how much moles per material used in a construction? and do architects need to mix chemicals up to blow things up? okay, i admit that architects virtually have to know everything... to all people who study/majoring chemistry: why you choose to study such a failure subject while this subject is a total failure? you grouped/categorized things up, then you say this is the exception. if its the exception, then why you group it together with the others? this is just one of the millions why chemistry is a failure. the so-called scientists love to complicate simple things, then the people hundred years back who know nuts about the natrure were like "woah! fantastic!" without knowing that what the "scientists" do, are just like artists nowadays, want to make fame and money. okay... afterall, i still need to mug the stupid things made up by stupid people! hope these useless things wont spoil my great mind. =D all hail chemistry! 5/11/2008 RM58 for 1 durian! Only in SS2!Last nite around 8PM me and a bunch of my friends have dinner at New Paris Restaurant, Jalan SS2/74, as it was Lester's birthday. The restaurant is fulled with people!
About the food there, as nothing so special, even though last time this restaurant is featured in the 8TV's HoChak show for its Champaign Chicken. This is not as tasty as it seemed to be, only so-so, but if you want to try it, go ahead, not expensive though. The one I recommended is the Fried Pork Hand. It really taste good. We 10 people ordered 7 dishes, including a steam fish 'sek ban' (coz I have no idea what's its name in english) which worth RM34, and the total bill is RM18 per person! And I like their intelligence in cleaning up the tables. First, they cover the table with a few layer of plastic paper, one after another. When a table is done, they simply pull out the outter layer of plastic, and it acts like a plastic bag! So fast and no mess! After that one of my friend suddenly felt like wanna eat durian... However there are no durian stalls around. We walked around and there's only one located around Jalan SS2/75, opposite to a bridal studio and a lighting decor store. The story after this is based on my friend's story telling as I left earlier. We walked around SS2 and found nothing but that only store, so he went there to buy durian. When he approach the Chinese guy who is the stall keeper, he asked how much is it. The man said: "You go and eat first, later then pay." Then after my friend is done, he asked to pay, the sohai charge him RM58! RM58 For 1 durian! (Now you understand why durian is known as fruit "king") Walauehhh... My friend of course refuse to pay so much, and willing to pay RM30 for it. However the sohai took a parang and pointing to my friend's neck, "So now are you going to pay?" and asked him to take off his pants if he cannot pay. With his life threaten by a sohai with parang, my friend paid RM58. Shortly after that he went to the Sea Park Police Station to make a report. Sadly the police cannot do anything... I wonder why KL people (or known as KL sohai) so like to con other... KL people are too sohai, so shit one... Malaysia Boleh! So,my little advice here is: never go to that sohai durian stall! Located around Jalan SS2/75, opposite to a bridal studio and a lighting decor store. And remember to know the price before you eat or buy anything! There are too many sohai in KL! Ah.... I forgot to tell you something - The sohai told my friend before he left "Because you are Chinese, so I charge you less! If not it will be even expensive!" 5/3/2008 起点?
